Last updated: November 2, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how Zvend ("we", "us", or "our"), operated by Zarox Energy Solutions Ltd, collects, uses, stores, shares, and safeguards the personal information of visitors, utility providers (owners), agents, and customers who use our platform. By accessing or using the Zvend platform (web, mobile application, or APIs), you agree to the practices described in this Policy.

1. Information We Collect

  • Account information: your name, email address, phone number, password (stored in encrypted form), and profile details when you register or are onboarded onto the platform.
  • Meter & vending information: meter numbers, meter addresses, meter type, account names, token purchase/transaction history, units purchased, tariff/band information, and consumption-related data needed to vend electricity and to support advanced metering infrastructure (AMI), metering data management, and line-loss analytics.
  • Payment information: transaction references, amount paid, payment method used, and the status of payments processed through our supported payment channels. We do not store your full card details; card payments are processed by our licensed payment partners.
  • Device & usage information: device type, browser, IP address, operating system, and how you interact with the platform (pages visited, timestamps, and similar diagnostic data).
  • Identity verification information: where required, information you provide to verify your identity or eligibility as an owner, agent, or corporate customer.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, operate, and maintain our electricity vending and metering services;
  • Process token purchases, payments, and wallet transactions;
  • Authenticate users and keep accounts secure;
  • Send service updates, receipts, alerts, and token redemptions by email or SMS;
  • Support power consumption monitoring, anomaly detection, line-loss analysis, and revenue assurance for utility providers;
  • Respond to support requests, enquiries, and complaints;

3. Legal Basis for Processing

Where applicable law requires a legal basis, we process personal information on the grounds of (a) your consent, (b) performance of a contract with you, (c) compliance with a legal obligation, and (d) our legitimate interests — such as fraud prevention, network security, and service improvement — where those interests are not overridden by your rights.

4. Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your personal information. We may share it only in the following circumstances:

  • Utility providers / owners: consumption, meter, and vending data is shared with the electricity distribution company (or facility owner) serving your meter so they can supply, monitor, and bill for energy correctly.
  • Payment partners: selected payment gateway and banking partners process your transactions under their own privacy policies.
  • Service providers: trusted vendors that help us run the platform (hosting, messaging, analytics, and support), bound by confidentiality obligations.
  • Legal & regulatory: government, law enforcement, or regulators when required by law, a court order, or to protect the rights, property, and safety of our users or the public.
  • Business transfers: in connection with a merger, sale, or reorganisation of our business, provided the receiving party honours this Policy.
